It's a time for confession - do you have a spare room full of junk? Remember the little phrase "REDUCE - REUSE - RECYCLE". It's very therapeutic to have a clear out. You should do it at least once a year, twice if possible. There is something about a clear out that seems to clear the head at the same time. Think of a still pool full of water - when nothing moves it goes stagnant. Places full of junk that you never look at do just the same thing!
This section covers habits. All those little things we do without really thinking because we have done them for so long.
Probably the worst culprit is our disposal of waste. Stick a note by the bin if you need to :>)
How Eco-Friendly is a House?
There are many ways to improve our buildings. The commonest being double glazing and draft proofing, something most of us have been doing for years in order to keep the bills down.
For a ball park idea of our carbon footprint we can look at The Energy Saving Trust. They offer many ideas as well as a calculator for our lifestyle.
Worried about your boiler? Try boilers.org. Supported by DEFRA and many others they offer advice on boiler efficiency.
Looking for sheep's wool insulation? Those celtic sheep know a thing or two about keeping warm so taking advantage seems a good idea.
